These cutters work on steel, stainless steel or cast iron pipe, depending on the installed cutter wheels. The thin profile, sharp cutter wheels allow shorter handles for work in smaller spaces. The 2-3 pipe cutter with three wheels (and no rollers) means more cutting surface and less handle swing. Exclusive guide bars on 2-4WG are the best way to get a square cut on pipe since the bars hold the cutter square to the pipe during the cutting process.
